Today, CBDistillery—one of The CBD Insider’s Trusted Brands that has served an estimated 3 million customers—announced the launch of a new CBN tincture.
The CBN tincture contains 150mg of CBN and 450mg of CBD, along with other cannabinoids, flavonoids, and natural terpenes.
The 1:3 ratio of CBN to CBD, as well as the inclusion of other hemp compounds, causes “an enhanced ‘entourage effect,’” according to CBDistillery.
The brand’s CBD currently retails for $60 ($0.10/mg of cannabinoids).
CBDistillery is marketing it as a product to enhance sleep and relaxation, a commonly touted benefit of CBN.

CBN is one of several cannabinoids in the cannabis plant and is a byproduct of THC.
More specifically, CBN is produced as hemp ages and THC is exposed to oxygen.
As THC breaks down from oxidation, CBN is produced.
According to research, the potential benefits of CBN include relief from discomfort, anticonvulsant properties, and other similar effects to CBD.
One study by researchers from the University of British Columbia shows that CBD and CBN in conjunction with one another provide enhanced benefits as opposed to when they are used alone.
CBDistillery and Minor Cannabinoids
CBDistillery began its expansion into minor cannabinoid-related products in May of 2020.
The brand launched two CBG products, a tincture and an isolate powder.
CBG, known as the “Mother of All Cannabinoids,” may benefit the immune system, have anti-inflammatory properties, and several other benefits.
“As the only brand producing CBD, CBG and now CBN products, CBDistillery recognizes the consumer demand and continues to redefine the wellness industry with the introduction of their new CBN + CBD 1:3 Sleep Oil,” said Chase Terwilliger, CEO of Balanced Health Botanicals, the parent company of CBDistillery in a statement. “While CBD and CBG have established themselves as a major player in the market, CBN can possess potential significant health benefits our consumers are looking for in their wellness regimen.”
In May 2020, CBDistillery launched new packaging for its products and a rebranded logo.
The purpose of the rebranding was “to better educate the masses on the value CBD can bring to their lives, as well as to showcase how consumers can take control of their health with the use of CBD,” according to a statement.
CBDistillery’s new packaging now shows the potential benefits of the product, such as providing relief, relaxation, or enhanced sleep, in the form of icons and bold words.
The previous packaging did not offer this information clearly to consumers.
“Through CBDistillery growing to serve over a million customers, we have learned how CBD has enabled a countless number of people to take better control of their health,” said Majid Boroujerdi, Vice President of Brand and Consumer Insights at Balanced Health Botanicals in the statement. “It’s because of these insights that we’ve decided to redesign our packaging to reflect what consumers really want to know and help broaden consumers’ awareness on the many benefits of CBD such as relief and relaxation.”
