It’s not surprising to see a brand as innovative as Elixinol show up early to the liposomal CBD party, a delivery method that allows faster and more efficient CBD uptake (as compared to conventional CBD oil).

High-tech innovation aside, no brand is above the need to maintain competitive pricing, high-quality ingredient lists, informative and durable packaging, and so forth.

As such, we put this broad-spectrum product through our usual rating system, assessing everything from the box it came in to the effects it had on our testers.

Here’s what we learned. 

Concentration

This Everyday Rapid Reset Liposome “oil” provides 300mg of CBD in a 30ml bottle.

Per the packaging, a serving is five pumps, and each serving provides five milligrams of CBD.

Here is the cannabinoid breakdown according to the certificate of analysis for the product we sampled: 

• CBD = 10.00mg/mL (300mg total)
• CBG = 0.15mg/mL (4.5mg total)
• THC = ND (non-detectable)

As expected, the product passed all tests for residual solvents, toxins, and other contaminants.

The CBD content is right on the money, THC is as it should be for a broad-spectrum product, and the supporting cannabinoid concentration is a little on the low side.

Overall, it’s a solid lab report.

We aren’t docking points for low CBD concentration because liposomal delivery is so much more efficient than standard methods, as per this study from Quicksilver Scientific, LLC and many concurring findings.

Value

This liposome-enhanced CBD product retails on Elixinol’s website for $44.99, which reduces to just under $0.15 per milligram of CBD.

Generally, we consider brands in the $0.04-$0.07 range to be competitively priced, and everything from $0.08 to $0.14 to be middling.

In this case, we’re willing to lump the Rapid Reset Liposome product into the middle category, considering the way it one-ups virtually every product on the market in terms of absorption efficiency. 

If and when more brands adopt this technology, we will have more context with which to accurately assess price.

Packaging

As with most Elixinol products, the inner container is housed in a small box. 

On the box are featured all the basic product facts you need (supplement facts and ingredient lists, basic product info, suggested use, etc.), two extra blurbs about the product itself and Elixinol, a US Hemp Authority Seal, and a QR code for accessing third-party lab reports.

The container—a darkly tinted glass bottle with a pump top—contained all of the same information with the exception of the two blurbs.

Everything was pristine upon receipt, and the pump top was clearly engineered to prevent messy residue buildup, which is no small benefit.

Overall, the packaging was durable, high quality, and informative. 

Ingredients

Here is the verbatim ingredient list for the Elixinol Everyday Rapid Reset Liposome:

Hemp extract (aerial parts), cannabidiol (CBD), purified water, phosphatidylcholine, capric/caprylic triglycerides, plant sterols, dL-alpha tocopherol, monk fruit extract, lemon oil, orange oil, citric acid monohydrate, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, sodium chloride.

Featuring only gentle preservatives, natural flavoring, and the welcome addition of dL-alpha tocopherol (a strong antioxidant), this ingredient list is as clean and minimalistic as we could have hoped for something more complex than standard CBD oil.

Flavor and Texture

We thought this might be a unique experience in the flavor department, and it was indeed. 

On the one hand, the smooth and creamy texture is reminiscent of most CBD oils, thanks to the fat content and natural oils.

On the other hand, this product has a “milky” taste overlaid on strong notes of citrus (orange and lemon) oil, which really gave it an orange julius kind of vibe. 

The citrus was fairly bitter, but in our experience, most customers will take citrus bitterness over the alkaline hemp taste, so we consider that a preferable exchange. 

Overall, our testers enjoyed the taste, especially after acclimating to the surprise factor. 

Effectiveness

Without question, this product is the fastest to act, but there’s a caveat: you have to double or triple up on doses.

Yes, the liposome-enhanced formulation has been proven to deliver more of each milligram of CBD, but even at 100% efficiency, a five milligram dose is just a five milligram dose.

That said, taking triple doses (fifteen pumps, fifteen milligrams) in the morning and evening produced effects in record time—about twenty or thirty minutes compared to the standard hour and a half or more. 

As to the benefits themselves, we noticed a stronger sense of calm and focus than most other products.

In fact, this is one of the few products that we were able to consciously feel working, while still not feeling drowsy.

It was more than the edge being taken off; it was an uplifting feeling that informed more positive thought processes and much calmer responses to adverse situations.

On the focus front, we were able to focus on nothing (i.e., meditating or trying to sleep) just as efficiently as what most of us 21st-century humans are already good at—dealing with fifteen stimuli at once. 

Overall, we were definitely impressed with both the speed and intensity of this product’s effects, but the triple-dosing requirement does put a ding on value. 

Pros & Cons

Let’s start with the pros:

• Much faster acting than standard CBD oil
• Effective at promoting calm
• Pleasant flavor and texture
  

And now the cons:

• Multiple doses required for benefits

Conclusion

As both consumers and industry insiders, we still have a lot to learn about emerging innovations in CBD delivery methods, but we can say first hand that this product is doing something right on the absorption front.

The Everyday Rapid Reset Liposome formulation absorbs quickly, produces noticeable effects, and charges less of a premium than you might think.

We would love to see greater concentrations in the future, but for now, this product is an excellent option for people who want fast, potent results.
