Welcome to our Charlotte’s Web CBD Cream review!

While the cream is not the best CBD topical we’ve ever tried, it’s still high-quality, especially with the latest upgrade to the formula.

We are happy to recommend the cream to those who are looking for a natural way to help soothe skin.

Recommended Product

Charlotte’s Web CBD Cream

Revitalize, restore, and rejuvenate your skin with Charlotte’s Web CBD Cream.

The cream goes on smooth and contains excellent ingredients like aloe vera, coconut oil, oat extract, and sea buckthorn oil.

We found it helpful for maintaining moisturization and softening our skin.

Charlotte’s Web CBD Cream Review

We tested the Unscented 2.5oz, 750mg Hemp-Infused CBD Cream from Charlotte’s Web.

Currently, this is the only iteration of the product; however, Charlotte’s Web offers a handful of CBD topicals in various forms, including a cooling gel, balm, roll-on, and more.

Our team reviews CBD topicals based on their quality, concentration, value, packaging, ingredients, and effectiveness.

Let’s start with how Charlotte’s Web creates their CBD oil.

Quality

Charlotte’s Web is vertically integrated and grows hemp in Colorado, while also supporting family farms in Kentucky and Oregon.

The company uses organic and sustainable cultivation methods by using cover crops and ladybugs as natural pest predators, but never toxic or harmful chemicals.

Charlotte’s Web is currently in the process of acquiring USDA organic certification for its hemp.

Soil and irrigation systems are consistently tested to ensure the safety of an upcoming crop.

After harvesting, Charlotte’s Web uses Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) to extract the hemp oil for the brand’s original formula products, while using CO2 for all the other products.

In the case of the CBD cream, the hemp extract is extracted with CO2.

Samples from every batch of products are tested by ISO-17025-accredited third-party laboratories, such as Eurofins, one of the most prestigious third-party labs in the world.

Unfortunately, Charlotte’s Web does not show the original third-party lab results—opting to provide an internally aggregated report—but the brand does mention the lab each result is from.

The samples are tested for cannabinoid potency, residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbes.

Charlotte’s Web provides QR codes on all their products so customers can easily access the test results for their specific item.

The US Hemp Authority has awarded Charlotte’s Web its seal of certification, and the company also has a current Good Manufacturing Practice certification.

Concentration

The Hemp Infused Cream now contains 750mg of cannabinoids from full-spectrum hemp extract in 2.5oz of cream.

According to the certificate of analysis, our specific product—which is from the old formulation—had 785mg of hemp extract and 362mg of CBD.

A few minor cannabinoids were also detected.

At 300mg/oz, this is a potent concentration of CBD for a topical.

Most topicals do not contain such a high amount of CBD, especially in a topical with a substantial amount of product.

We are happy to see this updated formulation contains two times more CBD than the previous version.

Value

The Hemp Infused Cream costs $39.99, which clocks in at $0.053/mg and $15.996/oz.

Previously, the cream cost $10 more at $49.99 ($0.143/mg and $19.996/oz) with half the amount of CBD.

The price for this cream is excellent and well below the price per mg of CBD topicals from most other brands.

For a premium brand like Charlotte’s Web, we’re impressed that they are making their products some of the most affordable on the market.

Packaging

The Charlotte’s Web CBD Cream comes in a 2.5oz tube with a screw-top lid.

The label looks spectacular with the dark teal and gold colors.

Information on the label includes instructions, an ingredients list, and a QR code that takes you to the test results page on Charlotte’s Web site.

Ingredients

The ingredients in the Hemp Infused Cream include: Water, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hemp Extract Oil, Coconut Alkanes, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Squalane, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Ectoin, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Avena Sativa (Oat) Bran Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Extract, Xanthan Gum, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Tocopherol, Cetyl Palmitate, Sorbitan Palmitate, Sorbitan Oleate, Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla) Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) Fruit Oil*, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Gingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, and Sodium Hydroxide (*Certified Organic).

This is an excellent medley of ingredients—many of which are found in premium skincare products—that can be used on sensitive skin.

Some unique ingredients include orange peel extract and sea buckthorn fruit oil.

Both of these may help protect skin and keep it healthy.

Scent & Texture

The Charlotte’s Web CBD Cream has a distinct smell that is a mix of hemp and fragrances from the other ingredients, too.

Thankfully, the scent is modest and not overpowering.

As for the texture, the cream requires some time to fully absorb into the skin along with some rubbing.

We didn’t need to use much to cover a large area.

The cream can leave skin feeling slightly greasy for a few moments, but it doesn’t last too long.

The color of the cream is off-yellow.

Effectiveness

To test the Charlotte’s Web CBD Cream, we used it about 3-4 times per day on our hands.

Overall, it was useful for keeping our skin moisturized, although we needed to apply the cream often throughout the day.

Our skin felt softer after a few days of continuous use.

Pros & Cons

Pros for the Hemp Infused Cream:

  • High CBD concentration
  • Affordably priced
  • Excellent ingredients
  • Helped moisturize and soften skin

Cons for the Hemp Infused Cream:

  • Requires several uses to be effective
